Planning is the direct opposite of “flying by the seat of one’s pants.” Planning can be described as picking a desired target and being able to shoot an arrow into the middle of it. The opposite can be described as shooting an arrow and painting a target around wherever it lands.
Too often, people tend to think planning is “not doing anything.” We believe that sufficient time spent in program, project, organizational and strategic planning significantly contributes to more effective development, implementation, and operation of our diverse activities. |
